Welcome to the site of Hieronymus P. Janssen (Jeroen).

Born in Nijmegen, in the year 1973 he lives now for some 20 years in Amsterdam. His choice to move and live in Amsterdam is not so strange..... Amsterdam is not only the capital of The Netherlands, it's also the center of culture, creativity and art.

Hieronymus started painting in 2005. With only a bit of basic knowledge he started to paint. To paint from the hart, his feeling and his thoughts. Making a painting can be a struggle, a fight, but the peace of mind after finishing a painting is the signal for him that's OK.

From the start he used different themes to make series of paintings. The first theme he used was 'Pregnant Women'. A hommage to the power of reproduction that women have. By using oilpaint he is able to give the paintings a 3D structure, and makes it possible to mix different colors right on the canvas!
